Match Dating Site Lawsuit

A concerned citizen has filed a $5 million dollar lawsuit against online dating website service match.com

The lawsuit, filed by attorneys on behalf of a brooklyn man alleges that the dating website match.com intentionally defrauds members and site visitors by giving the false impression that certain member profiles are valid and active on the website when in fact the user either dose not exist is no longer active.

Victims of this misleading practice eventually signup or upgrade their account in hopes of contacting the nonexistent member, only to find their money may have been wasted since the person they are interested in doesn't exist.

Mr. McGinn, the plaintiff in this lawsuit stated that vulnerable website users were pouring out their hearts in emails, only to be crushed and emotionally damaged when no reply was received. Mr. McGinn's attorney went on to state that

"They are left feeling they've been completely ignored and rejected," attorney Norah Hart said. "For some people, it could affect their romantic future."
