Campath Side Effects
Campath is an alemtuzumab injection for intravenous use. Campath
(alemtuzumab) is a recombinant DNA-derived humanized monoclonal antibody (Campath-IH) intended for the 21-28 kD cell surface glycoprotein, CD52. It is a colorless, sterile, isotonic solution. Campath is supplied in a 1mL single-use clear vial containing 30mg’s of alemtuzumab that should be stored at 2-8 degrees celcius
Campath is used as a single agent for the treatment of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia or B-CLL. Treatment with Campath should be withheld during serious infection or other adverse reactions until resolution and should be discontinued for autoimmune anemia or thrombocytopenia.

· Lymphopenia
· Neutropenia
· Anemia
· Thrombocytopenia
· Pyrexia
· Chills
· CMV viremia3
· CMV infection
· Urticaria
· Rash
Erythema
· Hypotension
· Hypertension
· Headache
· Tremor
· Dyspnea
· Diarrhea
· Insomnia
· Anxiety
· Tachycardia
Doctor directs patients to take other medications before taking Campath in order to prevent side effects, and infection in the body. Additional medications should be used exactly as prescribed.
